How to avoid getting scammed by sellers online
Painful truth: Scam victims learn the hard way because they did not do their due diligence. Ika nga: “walang maloloko kung walang magpapaloko”.
A few tips to avoid becoming the victim:
    • Verify the seller’s identity – is he using an alias? Is he using his real pic? Is he using real pics of the item/s? Did you ask the group if anyone can vouch for the seller? Mahirap magtiwala basta basta. Di mo naman kilala yan. Background check, par!
    • Research the item – one good example is the sjrc f11 vs the f11 pro, where the 2 are nearly identical when inspected visually, except for the camera. I have seen a few sellers passing off the f11 as f11 pro along with its higher pricing. Huwag tamad. Mag-research.
    • Check the price – is it too good to be true? Did you compare it to the existing market value? If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
Is the seller willing to meet-up/COD? COP?
Ingat!
    • Caveat emptor – a Latin phrase that states the principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made. Chineck mo ba yung unit? Tinest mo? O nagtiwala ka lang basta? Kaya kung maaari, meet-up dapat!
At the end of the day, it will be on you dahil masyado ka naexcite at nagtiwala. There will always be scammers and bad deals. You can lessen the probability of getting scammed by taking precaution. If at any point you get suspicious of a transaction, drop the deal and walk away.
